Executive Producer :: Director

Dan’s been a fan of film as long as he’s been a fan of milk; and he’s liked milk for a long time.

Starting with two VCR’s (that’s Video Cassette Recorder) and re-editing shows together as a kid, making movies has been in Dan’s blood since before…well, let’s just say forever.

He’s been in front of the camera, on the stage, in the director’s chair, and has spent countless hours in the edit suite, cutting in Final Cut or ProTools whatever he could get his hands on. For the last twelve years or so, he’s made his living producing videos, building websites, and performing various design projects for food.

Dan currently lives with his wife in Colorado and spends his days snowboarding, writing, and sometimes working. Sometimes.

Favorite movie(s) and/or actor(s)/director(s)?

Wow, this is rough. Currently I’m really digging Zach Snyder, despite his recent Watchmen woes (which I also dug). The last movie I watched that I fell passionately in love with was Let The Right One In with Thomas Alfredson at the helm.

Favorite band(s) and/or music?

Again, this is difficult. I’ve been listening to Sonic Youth again quite a bit. Richard Buckner is another personal fave.

Mountains or Beach?

So I came up with this question because I have this theory: everyone is either a mountain or a beach person. Nobody can really say they hate either of them, but sooner or later, you gotta pick one to call home. Me? I’m a mountain man.

If you could make any movie because you had unlimited resources, what would it be about?

I’m a huge fan of the revenge movie. It’d be hard to top Man On Fire (the Denzel version) or Kill Bill, but I’d sure as hell give it a go.
