Melissa’s an artist. As in, a degreed, certified, winner of awards.

With a background in interior design, fashion design, and fine art, Melissa brings a creative eye to the production team that the, ahem, boys just can’t rise to alone.

She’s not just an artsy fartsy creative-type, though. Melissa has worked in the world of marketing, business management, and client services for more than 10 years.

Melissa loves to snowboard, play ultimate frisbee, read, and lay by the pool. She lives with her husband and two cats in the king of states, Colorado.

Oh, and she’s pretty. Really pretty.

Favorite movie(s) and/or actor(s)/director(s)?

Favorite movie…this is a tough one. I love movies in general, so it’s hard to narrow it to one particular movie or even genre. It usually depends on my mood, but I love war movies, comedies (romantic and otherwise), action…I like big budget movies and teenie tiny indie flicks. So to name a few….Forrest Gump, Million Dollar Baby, We Were Soldiers, Little Miss Sunshine, The Notebook, Love Actually, About a Boy….this list could go on forever…
As for directors, I really like Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson, Robert Zemeckis, M. Night Shamalan.
For actors….Johnny Depp, Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Aaron Eckhart, Clint Eastwood…
For actresses….Amy Adams, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner, Toni Collette, Tea Leoni…

Favorite band(s) and/or music?

Picking a favorite here is almost as hard as picking a favorite movie. I love music…almost all kinds except really heavy metal. Country is usually my first choice. Brooks and Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson are some of my favorites. Then I also love disco, love songs, pop, rap, swing…I listen to whatever I’m in the mood for usually.

Mountains or Beach?

I love both the mountains and the beach. I live in the mountains and love it, so I’d have to say mountains with beach thrown in for vacations. Ideally someday I will split my time between them both.

If you could be on any reality show, past or present, what would it be and why?

I would probably be on either The Shot (which sadly was short lived and cancelled) or Top Design. Growing up I would have loved to be on Project Runway as I originally wanted to be a fashion designer, but I don’t think my sewing skills would be up to par. Since I have equal loves for fashion, photography and design either of the above mentioned shows would be great.
